Service Terms & Conditions

These Service Terms & Conditions ("Agreement") apply to all services provided by E&M Garage Solutions ("E&M"). By signing the Project Approval Form, paying a deposit, or authorizing work to begin, the Customer agrees to these Terms.

The signed Project Approval Form, these Terms & Conditions, and any approved Change Orders together form the complete agreement between E&M and the Customer.

1. Estimates & On-Site Assessment

All estimates are based on the photos and information provided before the appointment.

Before work begins, E&M will perform a brief on-site assessment to verify the project matches the original estimate.

If actual conditions differ significantly, E&M may adjust the scope, pricing, estimated labor, or services before work begins. The Customer may approve or decline the revised estimate.

2. Scope of Work

The Project Approval Form identifies the approved services, estimated labor, crew size, pricing, hourly rates, materials, and add-ons.

Only the services listed are included in the quoted price.

3. Included Services

Depending on the project, services may include:

Decluttering
Professional organization
Sorting and categorizing
Space optimization
Sweeping
Mopping
Light shelf/bin wipe-down
General garage transformation

4. Add-On Services

Additional services may include:

Junk removal
Pressure washing
Shelving
Storage bins
QR inventory labels
Ceiling storage racks
Handyman services
Additional cleaning
Additional organization
All add-ons require Customer approval.

5. Project Pricing

Pricing is based on project size, clutter level, accessibility, labor, crew size, junk removal, materials, and requested services.

6. Included Labor

Professional labor is the primary service being purchased.

Projects are considered complete when either:

The approved scope of work is completed; or
The included labor has been exhausted,
whichever occurs first.

If additional work remains, the Customer may approve additional labor or services.

 7. Complimentary Grace Hour

E&M may, at its sole discretion, provide up to one complimentary hour when a project is close to completion.

This is a courtesy only and is never guaranteed.

8. Additional Labor

Unless otherwise stated:

1-person crew: $100/hour
2-person crew: $150/hour
3-person crew: $200/hour
Additional labor will only be performed after Customer approval.

9. Change Orders

Any work outside the approved scope requires written approval.

Examples include:

Additional organization
Extra junk removal
Additional rooms
Home items added to the project
Shelving or rack installation
Additional labor
Any other requested service
Approved Change Orders become part of the final invoice.

10. Organization Standards

Customers should identify:

Items to keep
Items to discard
Priority storage areas
General preferences
E&M organizes using its professional judgment.

Repeated changes, excessive supervision, or continual relocation of items that significantly increase labor may result in additional charges.

11. Junk Removal

Only the truckloads included in the Project Approval Form are included.

Additional items may require additional charges.

E&M will not remove hazardous, illegal, or unsafe materials.

12. Donations

Donation drop-offs are not guaranteed.

Donation centers determine what items they accept.

13. Cleaning

Standard cleaning includes:

Sweeping
Mopping
Light wipe-down of shelves and bins
It does not include:

Cleaning every individual item
Mold remediation
Biohazard cleanup
Wall cleaning
Pressure washing (unless purchased)

14. Handyman Services

Repairs, installations, painting, electrical, plumbing, drywall, or similar services are not included unless specifically approved.

15. Customer Responsibilities

Before work begins, Customers agree to:

Remove cash, jewelry, firearms, medications, important documents, collectibles, heirlooms, sentimental items, and other valuables.
Clearly identify items that should not be moved.
Secure children and pets.
Provide safe access to the work area.
Provide working electrical outlets.
Provide water if pressure washing is included.
E&M is not responsible for valuables that were not removed or clearly identified.

16. Customer Availability

The Customer should remain reasonably available during the project to answer questions and approve Change Orders.

17. Crew Breaks

Crew members may take reasonable meal and rest breaks during longer projects.

18. Heavy Items

E&M may decline to move extremely heavy or unsafe items.

Additional equipment or labor may require a revised estimate.

19. Unsafe Conditions

E&M may suspend or stop work if unsafe conditions are discovered, including mold, structural issues, hazardous materials, pests, or unsafe electrical conditions.

20. Existing Conditions

E&M is not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, weak shelving, deteriorated structures, or normal wear and tear.

21. Installed Products

If E&M installs shelving, overhead storage racks, cabinets, or similar products, the Customer agrees to follow manufacturer weight limits and intended use.

E&M is not responsible for damage or injury resulting from overloading, misuse, unauthorized modifications, structural deficiencies, or alterations made after installation.

22. Scheduling & Deposits

A deposit is required to reserve the appointment.

Deposits are applied to the final invoice.

Cancellation policies are outlined in the Project Approval Form.

23. Payment

Payment becomes due when:

The approved scope has been completed; or
The included labor has been exhausted,
whichever occurs first.

If additional work is approved, E&M will continue the project and issue one updated final invoice showing:

Original project
Approved Change Orders
Additional labor
Materials
Deposit credit
Remaining balance
The Customer authorizes E&M to process payment using the approved payment method on file in accordance with this Agreement and applicable payment processor requirements.

24. Final Walkthrough

Before leaving, E&M will provide the Customer an opportunity to inspect the completed work and identify any immediate concerns.

25. Photography Authorization

The Customer grants E&M permission to photograph and record the project before, during, and after completion.

Photos and videos may be used for marketing, social media, advertising, educational materials, and the E&M website.

26. Limitation of Liability

E&M will perform services using reasonable care.

E&M is not responsible for hidden defects, structural failures, pre-existing damage, misuse of installed products, overloaded shelving or racks, or conditions beyond its reasonable control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, E&M's liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in this Agreement limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.

27. Delays Beyond Our Control

Completion dates are estimates only.

Weather, traffic, supplier delays, equipment failure, utility interruptions, Customer delays, or other unforeseen events may affect scheduling.

28. Right to Refuse Service

E&M may refuse or discontinue service if conditions become unsafe, abusive, illegal, or materially different from those originally represented.

29. Entire Agreement

These Service Terms & Conditions, together with the signed Project Approval Form and any approved Change Orders, constitute the complete agreement between E&M Garage Solutions and the Customer.

Customer Acknowledgment

By signing the Project Approval Form, the Customer acknowledges that they:

Have read and agree to these Service Terms & Conditions.
Understand the approved scope, pricing, estimated labor, and hourly rates.
Understand that additional work requires written approval.
Understand payment becomes due upon completion of the approved scope or included labor unless additional work has been approved.
Authorize E&M to process payment using the approved payment method.
Consent to project photography.
